  • What is Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care?

    Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care is a membership-based primary care practice that offers comprehensive primary care and urgent care services. It provides a direct relationship between patients and their primary care physician without involving insurance companies or third-party payers.

  • How does Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care work?

    Patients pay a monthly or annual membership fee, which covers a wide range of primary care services provided by their designated physician. This includes routine check-ups, preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, and access to certain additional services. It includes in-office testing, procedures, and telehealth services.

  • What are the benefits of joining Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care?

    Some benefits include increased access to your primary care physician, extended appointment times, shorter in-office wait times, same-day or next-day urgent appointments with YOUR doctor, enhanced preventive care, reduced out-of-pocket costs, and improved continuity of care.

  • What is included in my monthly membership?

    The monthly membership covers excellent primary care by providing open access to our services. Feel free to visit us in our office, call us when you need us, text us, or email us. You can schedule your annual wellness exam, receive basic office procedures, and optimize your health while under our care. Our members will also have access to at-cost laboratory testing, at-cost imaging services, as well as whole-sale medications.

  • Are there any additional fees or hidden costs?

    Generally, the membership fee covers most primary care services. However, there may be additional charges for certain procedures, laboratory tests, vaccines, medications, or other services not included in the membership. These additional costs will be clearly communicated to you beforehand.

  • Is there a commitment?

    Yes, we request a 3 month minimum commitment for new patients.

  • What are your hours?

    There are after-hours and weekend availability scheduled by communicating with your provider. 

  • Do you accept my insurance, and do I still need health insurance if I join?

    Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care is not a substitute for health insurance. It focuses on providing primary care services, but it does not include specialized care, hospitalizations, or emergency services. Patients are encouraged to have health insurance to cover those needs.  While we DO NOT bill any insurance companies for our services, most of our patients still carry insurance. For those without insurance, Intuitive Health does offer a much-needed affordable solution for routine care.

  • Can I use my health insurance alongside Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care?

    Yes, you can still use your health insurance for services outside the scope of Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care, such as specialist visits, hospitalizations, and emergency care. Your primary care physician can coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare providers involved in your care.

  • Can I use my Healthcare Savings Account (HSA)?

    Yes!  You can use your HSA to pay for medications, labs, in-office procedures and imaging.

  • I have Medicare. Can I join Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care?

    You can still join! You will need to sign a waiver declaring that neither you nor your provider will directly bill Medicare for our services.  However, Medicare can still cover any outside laboratory testing, imaging, medications, specialty referrals, or hospitalizations prescribed by us.

  • What if I need to see a specialist or require further diagnostic tests?

    Your primary care physician at Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care will coordinate your care with specialists and arrange any necessary diagnostic tests. We will work closely with you to ensure appropriate referrals and coordinate your overall healthcare needs. We work with our ancillary service partners to help you find the best available price, often cheaper than an insurance copay!  

  • Can I join Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care if I have pre-existing conditions?

    Yes, Intuitive Health Direct Primary Care welcomes patients with pre-existing conditions. Our primary care physicians are experienced in managing chronic diseases and can provide personalized care plans to help you manage your condition effectively.

  • Does Intuitive Health see patients of all ages?

    Not at this time. We provide excellent care for patients aged 12 years and older. 

  • Do you carry medications in your office?

    Yes, we carry many different medications at our office. 

  • What if an emergency arises and hospitalization is required?

    If you have to go to the emergency department, we would call the emergency department and speak with the emergency physician and discuss your symptoms and we would help to coordinate care by providing any necessary records. Should you be admitted, we would do the same thing - call the hospitalist and discuss your treatment in the hospital to ensure a smooth transition of care when you leave the hospital. 

  • What if I decide to cancel my membership?

    We understand that your needs may change, and we want to help you through whatever transitions you're making. If you need to cancel, we require 30 day notice.
